Output Help!

March 29, 2019

You're in the home stretch! The film is shot! The edit is almost done! And now... how do I output this thing?!?

If you are using iMovie on a Mac simply click the share button at the top right corner. You should see this:

Select the "File" icon at the bottom and choose these settings for Format, Resolution, Quality, and Compress:

Then select where to save the file. It will render in the background. You can check it's progress by looking at the circle button next to share.

If you are using iMovie on an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch simply click the share button at the bottom, select "Save Video", and choose "HD - 1080p":

The movie will now be in your Photo Library, just like all your other pictures and videos.

Upload it to DropBox, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or WeSendIt and share the link with us. Or put it on a thumb drive and drop it at the front office!

You did it!

Deadline Extension

March 26, 2019

Don't stress. We're extending the deadline to Monday, April 1st! That gives you one more weekend to polish your film and really make it shine. We can't wait to see it!

You can send us your film using Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeSendIt online. You can also choose to copy the film to a USB key, put it in an envelope, and put it in the film festival box in the front office at school. Don't forget to include a filled out form so we know who made it!

Mission Statement

The goal of the Franklin Magnet International Student Film Festival is to provide our students with a cinematic platform for their creativity. The festival will give them a dynamic opportunity to express themselves in a fun and entertaining way, all the while learning about the film making process.

In addition, the festival also raises funds for the Benjamin Franklin Elementary Foundation which supports teachers and staff with classroom assistance and supplies, integrates the humanities, arts and sciences into the school day and beyond, and improves the campus environment at Franklin Magnet in an ecologically responsible way.

We look for the support of our community members, as well as our friends in the entertainment industry, to help us achieve our goal and to bring Hollywood home to Glendale!
